It makes sense. Sepsis is a full-body inflammatory response to any infection. Some survivors lose limbs because of a lack of blood flow. In this state, the body prioritizes fueling your organs, not your extremities. Hence, you lose your hair, nails, and skin takes a hit.
How Shannon Got Her Glow Back
- I always knew processed foods were bad for your health, so I went back to single ingredient foods. If I couldn’t grow it or harvest it, I didn’t eat it
- I drank a lot of water. Prior to sepsis I would drink a 2L of Diet Coke a day. Now it was water all day every day.
- I prioritized sleep. Sleep is not a luxury; it is a necessity to rejuvenate. Practice sleep hygiene.
- Exercise! Sepsis causes micro-clots throughout your circulatory system, so get that blood pumping no matter your fitness level.

As you can see, you can get lost in skincare. The most important thing I found for glowing skin was exfoliation. In fact, I use baking soda with my cleanser 1/week. It has the same grit as microdermabrasion crystals.
For my body, I love using a coconut oil and sugar scrub. You can add your favorite essential oil if you like.
